Antique Surgical And Medical Examination Table

This is an antique surgical and medical examination table from the early 1900s. The table is split into hinged segments. The upper section can be inclined to serve as a backrest, and the lower section can be dropped or laid flat. 
The U-shaped opening in the middle section was designed specifically for gynaecological or urological examinations. The tall spiral rods served as mounts to hang intravenous fluid bottles, irrigation bags, or anaesthesia equipment. 
These tables were designed to be highly versatile, mechanical and easy to sanitise. What a fantastic piece of medical history.
