Vintage Ship Magnetic Compass Binnacle

Made in Amagasaki, Japan this Binnacle was produced by the Nunotani Keiki Seisakusho Company. With a brass cover for the compass rose and including a clinometer on the front. The compass is mounted in a floating housing to allow it to remain level as a ship was move with the waves. It features “Kelvin’s balls” which are iron spheres to indicate the port and starboard sides of the ship.
